Carded Maori wool is perfect for needle felting and certain wet felting applications. It is made from New Zealand wools with a 27 micron count. The wool comes in a variety of wonderful colors. The colors can also be further blended by carding for striking combinations. The wool can be used by wet felters to create paintings with the appearance of watercolors. See our inspiration page and featured artist Renata of Renata Felt for an example. Wet felters will enjoy using this wool for items that require extra strength, such as bags or slippers. We import our maori wool from DHG as it is Oeko-Tex certified, meets the global organic textile standard, and mulesling of sheep does not take place.
